Dr. Joan Odiagah – Family Doctor in Calgary SE (Midnapore)
Dr. Joan Odiagah is an experienced family physician in Calgary with more than 20 years of clinical practice in both rural and urban settings. She completed her medical degree and residency training in Nigeria before relocating to Canada, where she successfully completed the Saskatchewan SIPPA program to obtain her Canadian medical licence.
Her Canadian medical career began in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, where she provided full‑spectrum family medicine, including emergency care, inpatient hospital management, women’s health, and geriatric services. Working in a rural community strengthened her clinical versatility and deepened her commitment to patient‑centred, relationship‑based care.
Since moving to Calgary in 2019, Dr. Odiagah has continued to care for patients with compassion, skill, and a strong focus on long‑term wellness. She provides comprehensive primary care for individuals and families, supporting patients with acute concerns, chronic disease management, preventive health, and ongoing continuity of care.
Dr. Odiagah is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the health and lives of her patients. She loves cooking, reading, hosting family and friends, and taking peaceful walks. She also hopes to finally learn tennis one day.
